Wildflower season is either epic or a little underwhelming in certain parts of Colorado. So when it came to finding the perfect location for Lauren and Patrick’s engagement session, I knew it had to be a promising one. Of course we always hope for a beautiful, warm sunset for photos. You know, the evenings where you don’t worry about a storm system coming in over the mountains and jacking up your plans with thunder and lightning. Well the rain was supposed to be short lived, but we met at the bottom of the pass in a drizzle and decided to embrace it. So we took the pass to the prettiest, flower filled spots we could find and just soaked up the rain drops…literally. I loved every second of it! Sessions on an overcast day in the mountains with a little bit of rain, I’d 10/10 recommend.
