Back in the Rona times of 2020, I photographed a baller wedding. Seriously, I loved 2020 weddings because everyone still wanted to rage and party hard and did when they could. This wedding was at The Garden of the Gods Resort, where they had a stunning ceremony. We even snuck away into Garden of the Gods for portraits and some champagne popping. Then it was back to the resort to party until they kicked us out. Not literally until they kicked everyone out, but you know, time was up.
Enter Alyssa! Alyssa was part of the wedding party but wasn’t quite planning a wedding of her own yet. Fast forward, Alyssa and Allan get engaged, she reaches out for engagement photos. But not just any engagement photos — they wanted something that truly captured the essence of their city.
Most people associate Denver with hipsters in puffy Patagonias (which isn’t totally wrong), but Denver’s got a lot more going on. Think vibrant street art in RiNo district, downtown’s urban energy, Capitol Hill’s charm, Cherry Creek’s boujee feel, and so much more. Honestly, there are too many cool spots to name.
We kicked things off in the heart of the city, capturing the iconic Denver engagement moments, and then worked our way to Cherry Creek. The cherry on top (see what I did there)? We had the hookup at Quality Italian and had the place all to ourselves. If you haven’t been, it’s a must for both the food and the vibe — highly recommend!
I can’t wait for their wedding at the Surf Hotel in September!
