PLEASE bring Pabst Blue Ribbon, a boom box, your adventuring Tacoma and your besties to your intimate wedding in the mountains. Always bring your dog to give the stamp of approval and just know that Lays chips are a suitable snack to drink with your expensive champagne. You can take them out of the mid-west, but you can’t take the mid-west out of them! Haha
I love when weddings turn non-traditional and I knew right from the get go that Rachel and Jordan’s wedding was right up my alley when I got on the phone with them. They wanted an intimate wedding at Twin Lakes, but over time the guest list grew and we needed a spot that could accommodate a wheel chair. Luckily, Twin Lakes is just the place to get those epic mountain backdrops, but still be private enough for a ceremony. After their ceremony, they celebrated with family and then we hopped in the Tacoma and took it up the Mount Albert trailhead to a grove of Aspens. They popped champagne, had some snacks, let Ira (the pup) run around and shared a first dance in the yellow leaves. It was pretty swoon worthy and I just love the couples that have the day their way.
